Three released on bail as stab victim with punctured lung leaves hospital

A Suffolk stabbing victim who suffered a punctured lung and damaged heart has been discharged from hospital.

The stabbing happened in a car park near to the entrance of Haverhill Rugby Club in School Lane at around 6.10pm on Saturday, June 23.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was stabbed with a knife. He suffered a single stab wound the chest, which punctured his lung and damaged his heart.

Suffolk police confirmed today that he has now been discharged from hospital.

Officers have also released the three men arrested in connection with the incident on police bail.

Three men from the Nottinghamshire area, all aged in their 20s, were detained on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

All three men have since been bailed to return to police in late July.

An 18-year-old male and a teenage female were arrested in connection with the offence on June 23, and a 43-year-old female was also arrested in connection with the offence an June 26.

Those three have been released under investigation whilst police enquiries continue.
