Pupils from a Haverhill primary school celebrated the opening of their new outdoor classroom after it was destroyed by fire last year.
A fundraising campaign was launched to replace the outdoor learning space at Clements Primary Academy in Greenfields Way.
The Friends of Clements Primary Academy and the community rallied behind the campaign to raise £2,500 for a new facility.
Vicky Hogg, headteacher, said: “It has been really great and encouraging to see everyone pull together and allow us to have something extra special for our children.
“We want to use the space to allow children to do as much learning as they can outside and this outdoor area further enhances our fantastic school grounds and resources.”
The outdoor classroom will be used to aid a number of lessons including reading, story-telling and science.
A spokesman for the Friends of Clements Primary Academy said: “We felt it was so important for the pupils to have this outdoor leaning space.
“They were really upset when they lost the old one. We are really pleased to have this new facility – it is so amazing.”
