Pop star Ed Sheeran has donated more than 300 items of memorabilia to raise money for charity, and lucky fans will get an exclusive preview when the collection goes on display at his old school in Framlingham.

The singer, who grew up in Suffolk, will auction the items to raise money for Zest, a new charity launched by St Elizabeth Hospice, which aims to support young adults in our region who are living with progressive and terminal illnesses.

The memorabilia will be auctioned off on Saturday, November 10 at Bishop and Miller Auctioneers in Stowmarket, but fans are being given the opportunity to see the items early at Thomas Mills High School on Thursday, October 25, during half term.

Oliver Miller, managing director of Bishop and Miller, said: “We’ve been really excited to partner up with Zest to hold this exclusive auction at our sales rooms in Stowmarket.

“The preview event will give fans the chance to get up close to Ed’s items and even make pre-bids that will be taken to the auction.

“We have lots that will go for tens of pounds and hopefully others that will hopefully go for thousands raising money for this great charity.

“Also on the day there will be one of Ed’s famous Heinz ketchup t-shirts which we will be giving visitors a chance to win.”

Zest aims to increase knowledge about what the St Elizabeth Hospice does among young adults.

The needs of many people who are cared for in a hospice are complex and Zest aims to engage with young adults to create additional support for the hospice through increased volunteering and donations.

Mark Wheeler, deputy headteacher at Thomas Mills High School, said: “Ed remains a close friend of the school and we are delighted to support him, Zest and St Elizabeth Hospice in the launch of this new and worthwhile venture. This is a great opportunity for Ed enthusiasts and a fabulous way to support a local charity.”

Ed Sheeran is known for staying true to his local links, and announced earlier this year he would be playing four huge concerts at Chantry Park in August. Two extra dates were announced after tickets sold out in record time.

Tickets for the exhibition are free, however those wanting to visit the event must reserve their place at

The list was put together by a panel of judges this summer after we asked readers for their nominations.
