Suffolk: School re-opens after sub-station incident

All Saints Primary School in Laxfield has re-opened following a power cut in the area.

The school re-opened this afternoon having been closed for the morning following the black out.

A spokeswoman for UK Power Networks said: “UK Power Networks engineers have restored power to about 70 customers in the vicinity of Mill Road, Laxfield affected by a fault on the overhead electricity network that occurred around 8.30am today (Monday).

“Our engineers were able to locate the fault and complete repairs, with all those affected reconnected to the electricity supply at 10.51am.

“We would like to apologise for the impact on people living and working in the area.”
