Coronavirus: List of schools, colleges and nurseries in Suffolk currently closed

Several schools and nurseries across Suffolk have today been forced to send children home in the fight against the spread of Covid-19.
The official advice from the Government is that schools and nurseries can remain open, some are having to close for a deep clean or because of staffing issues due to the coronavirus.
Read on for a list of the schools, nurseries and colleges currently closed in Suffolk and the most up-to-date information we have regarding when they will open again.

The nursery will be closed for the remainder of the week due to staffing issues. The main school will remain open.

The nursery will remain closed this week - it is expected to reopen on Monday, March 23.
Old Felixstowe Nursery is undergoing a deep clean. Yesterday they issued a warning after two parents of children at the school reportedly tested positive for coronavirus.

Clements Primary Academy - Haverhill
According to Suffolk County Council website, Clements Primary Academy is closed today.
According to posts in local Facebook groups, this is due to staffing issues.
Hadleigh High School
Years 8 and 9 are not required in for the rest of the week but pupils in Years 7, 10 and 11 will still be expected to attend classes.

Samuel Ward Academy - Haverhill
The Samuel Ward Academy have announced they are closed to the majority of students because of staff shortages. They expect to be closed until the end of the week.
SET Saxmundham School
The free school will not be open from tomorrow, Wednesday March 18 until at least Wednesday April 15.
On their website SET Saxmundham School says the closure is due to an unprecedented amount of staff absence following the new health advice which was given yesterday.
One College - Ipswich (Formerly Suffolk One)
The college have confirmed they will be closed from Wednesday March 18 but students will be allowed in to the building to collect their belongings.
From Monday, March 23 the building will be completely closed.
Special Educational Needs schools closed
The following schools will be closed from 3.30pm (Tuesday, March 17) until further notice.
These schools teach children with special educational needs, the trust managing the schools has made the decision following advice from the Department of Education and Public Health England.

Chalk Hill School - Sudbury
Stone Lodge Academy - Ipswich
The Bridge School - Ipswich
On their website the Bridge School in Ipswich have announced they will close at 2.55pm tomorrow, Wednesday March 19.
They will remain closed until the government says it safe for them to reopen.
