Suffolk Show 2018: What is the shopping experience like at the Suffolk Show?

We take a wander down Fifth Avenue at the Suffolk Show to get a flavour of what the shopping experience is like this year.
The fashion stakes are always high at the Suffolk Show, and this year is certainly proving no different.
Those with a keen style-eye won’t miss out on a trip to Fifth Avenue, the shopping capital of the town, with its trademark pink carpet and beautiful floral arrangements.
There is something for everyone down this picturesque lane from vibrant jewellery and handmade clothing to bedding, unique gifts and so much more.
It is a place where small Suffolk labels hold their own against bigger name brands, including Bella Singleton, Christiane Millinery, Cocoon, Emily Mortimer Jewellery.

Suffolk brand Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing is at the show for the eighth year, and owner Paul Brown said it was important to shout about their local links.
“I come here is because everything in my marquee is handmade in Suffolk,” he said. “People appreciate the fact that stuff is locally made.

“What I like about this show is Fifth Avenue - they go the extra effort to put the pink carpet down, they put the flowers out and they make it feel special.”
Also celebrating their Suffolk roots are Hoax, a brand known to be favoured by county superstar Ed Sheeran.
The skate, surf and lifestyle brand launched in East Anglia in 1994 and has traded in Fifth Avenue for the last two years.
Jason Carter, director of Hoax, said: “We have been coming for the past three years now. We started off at the other end of the park and then last year it was our first year down Fifth Avenue and it was brilliant, really successful, so we have come back again this year. There is quite a diverse range of stuff here and perhaps we are a bit on the fringe of that being a skate brand but it is good.”
Cliff Baldock, a Hoax customer, said: “The shopping experience is really good, we just walked straight in as we wanted to buy something, the only trouble is having to carry everything. There is some stuff in the garden place that we are going to buy on the way out so we can put it straight into the car but yeah it is great.”
It is Tattersalls’ first year exhibiting at the show. The bloodstock auctioneers are displaying their clothing brand opposite Wolf in Sheep’s clothing. Rosie Macdonald, buyer for Tattersalls, said: “We sponsor part of this event because we are local people so we thought we would have a stand to sell our brand of clothing and to back up our sponsorship. This is our first year exhibiting so we are hoping it will be a good one.”
