A MAN who sold his snowman on an internet auction website for more than £100 for charity last year is hoping to raise even more money after building another one.

Peter Rawlings, who lived in Ipswich for eight years, raised £102 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance by selling ‘Frostie the Snowman’ in Stowupland last year.

The 27-year-old, who works for a vending machine company, said: “My friends all think I’m mad.

“I told them at work ‘does anyone fancy buying my snowman’ and they all thought I was barmy.

“But it went really well last year and hopefully I can raise even more money this time around.”

Mr Rawlings, who moved to Northampton in September with his partner Rachel Head, 27, after living in Stowupland for 18 months, will donate the funds to Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.

Bidding for the snowman ends on Tuesday.

Mr Rawlings added: “Frostie has grown about a foot since last year. He’s also had a bit of a make over and some cosmetic surgery.

“He has been treated to a new hat and scarf and had some new spray-on clothes fitted to keep him warm.”
