THIS was the moment Suffolk singing sensation Ed Sheeran met the Queen - introduced by Kylie Minogue - after performing at the Diamond Jubilee concert on Monday night.
Gary Barlow and Kylie chaperoned the Queen, introducing her to many of the leading performers after the climax of the show as some of the biggest names in music gathered in a makeshift marquee backstage.
Ed Sheeran, from Framlingham, who performed solo unlike many of the big production numbers, was among those to meet Her Majesty.
He said of his earlier performance: “It was a pretty nice experience. I took up the guitar the day after I watched the jubilee concert 10 years ago. I started after seeing Eric Clapton - I can’t believe I am here 10 years later.”
