Firefighters forced to cut off car’s roof to rescue woman after crash

A WOMAN was trapped in her car for almost an hour after a collision with a motorcyclist.

Firefighters attended the scene of the incident on Bumpstead Road, Haverhill, just after 11am today.

Paramedics were forced to treat the woman while she was still inside the car.

Crews from Haverhill, Bury St Edmunds and Wickhambrook made the scene safe before cutting off the roof of the car so she could be taken to hospital by ambulance for further treatment.
