Travellers on the east Suffolk rail line can expect short delays today following lightning damage to signalling systems.
Abellio Greater Anglia said the signalling system at Brundall had suffered a lightning strike and trains were having to run at reduced speed on all lines.
This meant services between Ipswich and Lowestoft via Saxmundham and Beccles could be delayed by up to six minutes at short notice.
Engineers will give an estimate for the resumption of normal services as soon as the problem has been fully assessed.
A company spokesman said: “Abellio Greater Anglia thank customers for their patience and understanding until this problem is resolved.”
