Firefighters tackled a barn blaze that was started from a suspected arson attack.
Two fire crews from Clacton were sent to Thorpe Road in the town at 4.15am.
On arrival, crews found the barn to be completely alight, a brigade spokesman said.
Using two hose reel jets and one main jet, firefighters extinguished the blaze by 4.54am.
The spokesman added: “The cause of the fire has been recorded as deliberate.”
