AN 18-year-old girl is still in a critical condition following a serious car accident in a Suffolk village.
The teenager was taken to Ipswich Hospital with life-threatening injuries after the vehicle she was travelling in collided with a tree in Dog Lane, Bedfield, just north of Framlingham, around 5pm on Sunday.
She was later transferred to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge and she is still believed to be in a critical condition after suffering serious head injuries.
The 26-year-old driver of the silver Subaru she was travelling in has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving, dangerous driving and driving without insurance and has been bailed to return to Ipswich police station on March 6.
Anyone with information in relation to the accident should contact PC Roy Dade at the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01473 613500.
