Teenage boy assaulted in north Suffolk town sparking police appeal

Police are appealing for information after a teenage boy was allegedly punched while sitting on a bench in Bungay.

Detectives investigating reports of an assault believe the teenager, who was sitting by himself on a bench on Castle Hills at around 2.30pm on September 5 when he was approached by two boys.

According to officers the teenager tried to run away but one of the boys grabbed his hood and is then said to have punched him in the face.

The incident left the teenager with a slight mark on his cheek.

Now police have issued descriptions of two people they want to speak to in connection with the alleged assault.

The first suspect is aged around 11 to 14 and is white with a tanned complexion. He is believed to be around 5ft 6in tall with brown hair which is shaved at the back and sides but long on top.

It is thought he was wearing a blue puffer style jacket at the time.

The other suspect is believed to be around 10 to 11 years old and around 5ft 5in.

He has mousy hair and was wearing a grey tracksuit.
