POLICE are appealing for help after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted in a rural Suffolk village this month.

POLICE are appealing for help after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted in a rural Suffolk village this month.

The 15-year-old girl was walking her dog on a pathway near fields off The Street in Little Bealings when the incident happened between 5.30pm and 5.45pm on Sunday, April 19.

She turned a corner and saw the man standing a few metres away on the path in front of her.

She turned around and headed back in the direction she had come from, but moments later she was grabbed and sexually assaulted.

The 15-year-old kicked out at the offender and managed to break free and return home.

Officers need to trace the man, described as in his late 20s to early 30s, with a tanned complexion and of Mediterranean appearance.

He is about 5ft 10ins to 6ft tall, of slim build, with short spiky dark hair and a foreign accent.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a navy blue hooded top, faded blue jeans and trainers.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen the man in the area, or anyone with information about who he is, to call PC Jordan Giddins at Woodbridge Police on 01473 613500.
