A 17-year-old boy was allegedly robbed in Bury St Edmunds after getting off a train.

The incident took place at around 9am on Thursday, November 27, in Station Hill.

The victim walked a short distance up the hill where he was involved in an incident with a group of other teenage boys. Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident, in particular a man who attempted to intervene – he is described as black and of a large, muscular build.

Two 16-year-old boys from Stowmarket were arrested later that same day on suspicion of attempted robbery in connection with this incident and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where they have both been bailed to return to on January 15, pending further enquiries.
