AN 18-year-old motorist had a lucky escape when he was unhurt after his car collided with a lamppost.
The single vehicle accident - which involved a Vauxhall Corsa - happened around 5.20pm in Hobbs Lane, Glemsford, near Sudbury.
Firefighters from nearby Melford were also called to the scene and helped police officers make the road safe.
A spokesman for Suffolk Constabulary said the 18-year-old driver was not hurt in the accident.
