A FIFTEEN-year-old Suffolk girl has won £1,000 in a magazine competition to describe her “ideal 16th birthday party”.
Anna Johnstone, a Debenham High School pupil who lives at The Old Rectory, Wortham, won a competition sponsored by MTV and published in Sugar, a teen magazine.
She said: “I described an Oscar presentation style evening with the paparazzi all there and afterwards everyone was given a special magazine featuring the party they had just been to.”
Anna, who is 16 next month, said she would use part of her cash prize to help pay for the party she intends to throw for her friends. She would also be buying a new dress to wear on the night.
Anna is currently studying for GCSEs in Geography, History, Maths, RE, English, Sciences, French and Textiles. She hopes to join the sixth form at Hartismere High School, Eye, next year to study Maths, English, Psychology and Economic at GCE A level.
