Teenagers arrested after passerby spots attempted burglary at Oulton Broad

Two 16-year-old boys have been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary.

Officers were contacted just after 11.40pm yesterday by a member of the public who reported she could see two boys who appeared to be trying to break into a shop in Bridge Road, Oulton Broad.

The two fled and when officers arrived they began a search, calling in the National Police Air Service helicopter and a dog unit to assist.

The two teenagers were located and arrested a short time later on suspicion of attempted burglary.

Both have been taken into custody where they are being interviewed.
