Elderly man suffers black eye after assault by teenage boys

A group of teenage boys pushed and punched a man in his 60s whilst he was walking towards a town centre.
Suffolk Constabulary are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Bury St Edmunds.
The man in his 60s was walking towards the town when he was approached in Trevethan Close, near to Oakes Road.
A teenage boy came up to the man, making an offensive gesture which caused the victim to stop.
He was then set upon by three other teenage boys who pushed him to the floor from behind and punched him in the face.
They then ran off.
The victim suffered a black eye as-well-as cuts to his face and knee.
The boy who approached the victim was described as white and aged 14-15.
He was wearing black clothing.
