Families across Suffolk and Essex can look forward to a brief return of summertime conditions tomorrow, as the clouds part and warm temperatures hit the counties.

Despite a largely overcast day today, the mercury still topped 20C, and that is expected to rise to 21C tomorrow, with a largely sunny and fine day.

Despite the positive news, forecasters are warning people to enjoy it while it lasts, as more seasonal conditions will return towards the end of the weekend and the start of next week.

Temperatures are expected to fall from Saturday with some showers possible, while the start of the week will be hampered by showers and some windy conditions.

Looking ahead to next week, Phil Garner, a forecaster with Weatherquest, said: “It is going to be changeable and cooler.”
