BT Outreach engineers are laying underground fibre cabling and have closed part of the B1456 one way and put up temporary traffic lights.
Work began on Wednesday and is expected to be completed tomorrow night when travel will return to normal.
A BT Openreach spokesperson said: “The work we are doing in Freston, is to allow engineers to lay a large amount of underground fibre cabling. This work is due to be completed tomorrow evening.”
