POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a crash in north-east Essex which has left a man critically injured in hospital.
The collision happened in Tendring Heath when the driver of a blue Ford Fiesta appears to have lost control of the car while travelling along the B1035 shortly before 7.30am yesterday and flipped it in a field.
It had been travelling from the Harwich area towards Clacton.
The driver, and only occupant, sustained head and spinal injuries. The 32-year-old man was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge where he is currently in a stable condition.
A section of the road was closed for about six hours while the car was recovered and forensic collision investigators carried out their work.
Anyone with information in connection with this crash is urged to contact investigating officers at Stanway Road Policing Unit on 101.
