Drinkers at a village pub had to be evacuated to a nearby village hall after a gas leak at the building.
Fire crews were called to The Fat Goose pub in Heath Road near the village of Tendring Green at 6.14pm today.
They were called after LP gas began escaping from a 2,000 litre tank.
A number of homes next to the pub also had to evacuated and a 100 metre exclusion zone was put up while engineers fixed the leak.
The leak was finally secured at 8.25pm.
