TEXAS front woman Sharleen Spiteri is heading to Ipswich as part of her debut solo tour.

The Scottish singer released her first solo album “Melody” in July and will be showcasing tracks from it at Ipswich Regent Theatre in February.

The tour comes off the back of a surprise performance at hometown festival T in the Park this summer. She also starred at the recent BBC Proms in the Park, when she performed to over 30,000 people in London's Hyde Park.

Described as possessing one of the most distinctive voices currently on the tour circuit, Sharleen Spiteri's album debuted in the UK charts at number three.

Her performance in Ipswich on February 3 will see Sharleen intersperse tracks from Melody with a few Texas classics.

Tickets for the show, which starts at 7.30pm, are priced at £27.50 + Booking fee and available by calling the Box Office on 01473 433100 or online at www.Ipswichregent.com.
