THE team at a Colchester curry house have been handed a top secret mission after being given a license to fill the stomachs of a Hollywood film crew.

Dulon Miah, 32, runs the Bollywood Inn in Magdalen Street and has been asked by the director of the new James Bond movie, currently filming in Panama, to fly out a feast for his actors and crew - a request he could not say Dr No to.

Quantum of Solace, the 22nd film in the official Bond franchise, has been in production at various locations across the globe since last August and Mr Miah was asked earlier this week to prepare dishes for 20 people to be flown out to Florida.

The film's director Marc Forster had reportedly sampled some of the food on offer from Mr Miah's previous restaurant in Manningtree and he said he was delighted to receive the order.

Mr Miah said: “We've flown all over the world for very, very, rich and famous people over the past few years. It's going to cost them about $2,000 - they must really like curry.”

Mr Miah himself is set to make the trip later today and he is aiming to make sure the dishes are kept neither shaken nor stirred as they make the 4,500 mile journey from Colchester to Florida.

The Bollywood Inn is one of four sites owned by Mr Miah and his family in the area which have won awards in the past for the high standard of their dishes and service.
