We might be out of the World Cup but we still have plenty of reasons to be happy about living in England and Suffolk.

England football team

Our chances of winning the World Cup might be over but our team did an incredible job. Last night they played their biggest match for 28 years against Croatia and Kieran Tripper became the third Englishman ever to score in a semi-final scorer - joining the likes of Bobby Charlton and Gary Lineker.

Location and weather

Where we are located means we get to experience all weather conditions possible. From lovely sunny Suffolk days, including the heat wave we have been experiencing with temperatures reaching as high as 30C to the snowy scenes in March when the Beast from the East took over and allowed us to make snowmen. We are also home to the driest place in Britain, St Osyth in Essex only receives 513mm of rain a year so you can almost guarantee a rain free day there.

London

Our capital city is an amazing one it is picturesque and full of iconic landmarks including Big Ben, The London Eye, and Buckingham Palace. Us here in Suffolk are also very lucky with how close we are to the bright lights of London with it being under two hours away.

The Suffolk coast is an incredible 50-mile stretch it has outstanding natural beauty and plenty of things to do. Along our coast you can find delicious food, culture, nature and great photo opportunities. Our beaches have also brought world-class celebrities down for a paddle, in June 2016, American singing sensation Taylor Swift and her talented boyfriend at the time Tom Hiddleston were spotted on Aldeburgh beach.
