Essex’s Stacey Solomon has had to cancel turning on the Christmas lights at Freeport Braintree to host ITV2’s spin off show for I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!
The star was set to switch on the lights on Thursday, November 16, to mark the start of the festive season but is now jetting out to Australia to host the ITV2 spin off show I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
However, The Only Way Is Essex Star, Gemma Collins, has agreed to take her place and host the big switch-on.
The event starts at 4pm and there will be a series of family-friendly activities and entertainment for children - you can pose for a picture in Santa’s giant chair and meet a reindeer.
Martin and Su from Heart FM will be on the main stage from 6pm building crowd anticipation, ready for the 7.30pm switch on.
Once the lights are switched on you can enjoy an extra hour of Christmas shopping until 9pm.
