Police are appealing for information after a woman’s handbag was stolen from her car while she was driving in Ipswich.

The victim, a woman driving a red Volkswagen Up!, was waiting at the lights at the junction between Rope Walk and Eagle Street when two men approached her car.

One of the suspects then opened the passenger door and grabbed the victim’s handbag, before fleeing the scene.

The incident happened on Saturday, June 16 at 10.10pm.

The handbag contained a spare car key, Samsung mobile phone, house keys, glasses, debit/credit cards and a building society book.

The suspect who grabbed the bag is described as a white man, aged in his 30s, with brown hair. The other man is described as having dark skin, aged in his 20s and wearing a red hoodie.
