CHOCOHOLICS were today apparently responsible for a break-in at a service station just off the A137 near Manningtree.

Investigations are ongoing after reports from staff at Lawford Service Station who found smashed windows and a broken door.

Essex Police were called at around 6.15am today, but a spokeswoman said there was “hardly anything” missing and the thieves had allegedly left with just a few bars of chocolate.

Staff at the garage in Long Road did not wish to comment on the incident.
