A 27-YEAR-OLD woman is the third person to be charged with murder following the discovery of a dead body on a Colchester housing estate.

The corpse of Graham Reeve, 55, was found in an empty flat in Charles Pell Road on Tuesday last week.

Police had been contacted at around 11am on Monday by a member of the public who was concerned for the office administrator's welfare.

Officers visited his home - also on Charles Pell Road, on the town's Greenstead estate - but found nobody there.

However, further enquiries resulted in the body at around 2am the next day.

Trisha Levett of Stanley Wooster Way, Colchester was charged with murder last night and will be appearing before Colchester Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.

On Friday Danny Housego, 35, from Stanley Wooster Way in Colchester and 21-year-old Jon Williams, of no fixed address, appeared in court charged with murdering Mr Reeve.

Howsego and Williams appeared separately for short hearings and were both remanded in custody.

Ian Allen, prosecuting, outlined evidence against the pair and successfully applied for bail to be refused in both cases.

Williams, wearing a faded black t-shirt and handcuffed to a security guard, appeared first and spoke just to confirm his name, date of birth and that he was homeless.

Howsego, wearing a blue sweatshirt and flanked by two security guards, also just gave his name, address and date of birth.

The case was adjourned to Chelmsford Crown Court in September.
