A Suffolk school underwent a magical transformation into an institution for young wizards – with more than 300 pupils enjoying tasters in a range of subjects.
Thomas Mills High School (TMHS) in Framlingham hosted three “enrichment days” for year five primary pupils along the spoof Harry Potter theme – Magical Monsters and Where They Hide: A Gary Trotter Story.
Pupils took part in special sessions for six subjects – art, design and technology, English, music, physical education, and science.
Although there were no classes in transfiguration or defence against the dark arts, there was a “dramatic finale” to the story-line, along the wizarding theme, acted out by pupils from TMHS.
Enrichment co-ordinator Phil Bubb said: “Over 300 pupils from 27 primary schools attended, all of which rose impressively to the challenges the day bought and really engaged with the opportunity to work with TMHS pupils and staff.”
