A ROAD in Suffolk has re-opened after a car fire this morning.

The drama unfolded on the A140 in Thornham Magna at about 10.25am after smoke was seen billowing from the vehicle.

The emergency services were called to the scene to extinguish the blaze and to make sure the occupants of the car were safe.

The road was closed off in both directions at the Workhouse Road junction while the emergency services were at the scene.

Nobody was injured in the incident and the road was re-opened at about 11.10am.
