Suffolk police have confirmed that more business properties in Woodbridge were broken into overnight.

The Happiness Store confirmed they were one of the shops to have fallen victim in a recent spate of break-ins.

The extent of damage or goods stolen has not yet been confirmed.

The Red Cross Charity Shop is reported to be one of the other stores affected.

The latest break-in’s come only days after The Galley restaurant was broken into with thieves stealing a till containing £100.

Woodbridge Mayor Clare Perkins said there was disbelief amongst shop owners in the town today.

Following Thursday’s break-in Mayor Perkins said that she would be organising a meeting for businesses to hear from local police officers on how to stay safe and to ask any questions they needed.

Mayor Perkins confirmed today that this meeting will take place at 6pm on Thursday, January 18 at the town’s Shire Hall and that she will personally be keeping an eye on the situation as it develops.

“I am taking it very seriously as mayor,” she said.
