Sebert Wood Primary School held their half-termly ‘Fit Friday’ activities on March 23, which saw around 250 pupils bring their bikes to school to take part in a series of challenges.

The day culminated in an endurance event on the school field and wooded area where pupils rode around a circuit.

Other challenges included ‘slowest cycle’ and team relays, with children from Year 1 to Year 6 all taking part.

Jon Brooks, head of PE and sport at the school, said: “My thanks go to Mrs Steven for organising a wonderful event, and of course Helen Ballam and Jane Banns for giving up their time to provide such an exciting and varied set of cycling activities for the children.”
