THREE people have been arrested after police carried out a drugs raid at a house in Clacton this morning.
The pre-planned operation saw a warrant executed at a house in Estuary Crescent at about 7.30am.
Officers were acting on information received by Clacton's neighbourhood policing team that suggested individuals in the property were involved in dealing drugs.
A 20 year-old man, a 47 year-old woman and an 18-year-old woman from Clacton were all arrested on suspicion of possession with the intent to supply after officers found a quantity of what is believed to be a Class C drug.
The operation was a joint effort between the neighbourhood policing team and CID and Inspector Jason Scrivener said it had been a “great success”.
He said: “This was a brilliant result and is part of our ongoing efforts to come down hard on those who commit vehicle crime and drugs related offences.
“We intend to carry out similar operations over the next few weeks to ensure that individuals such as those we arrested today are not given the chance to continue with this unacceptable behaviour.”
