Work to remove a double-decker bus from the A14 near Ipswich after it broke down due to an engine fire took three hours this morning.
The bus broke down in the inside lane of the dual carriageway eastbound just before the Bucklesham junction shortly before 6am and was recovered at around 9am, police said.
A small engine fire had caused the bus, thought to be a double-decker First bus, to break down.
Police were at the scene to direct rush-hour traffic.
An oil spill caused by the bus is being cleared by Highways Agency officials.
