THREE men arrested during a major operation at a Suffolk scrap yard have been released on police bail.

THREE men arrested during a major operation at a Suffolk scrap yard have been released on police bail.

The arrests were made during the raid at the Ponderosa yard in Bridge End Road, Red Lodge, near Mildenhall, yesterday.

As a result of the raid three cars, one van and an oil dowser have been seized though police are continuing their search through the yard today.

A 33-year-old man from Bury St Edmunds, a 30-year-old man of no fixed address and a 21-year-old from Bury - all of whom were arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods - have been released on police bail until November 20.

A 38-year-old man from Red Lodge remains in police custody at the current time.

A 22-year-old man from Cambridgeshire was arrested near the site during the day for driving without a licence. He was released on police bail to return to Bury St Edmunds police station on November 18.

A 38-year-old man from Newmarket was reported for driving without a licence. The case will be passed to the criminal justice unit to decide how to proceed.
