Four fire engines, several ambulances and police cars were sent to a crash between two cars in Market Weston last night.
Firefighters from East Harling, Thetford, Bury St Edmunds and Ixworth were called to Bury Road at around 8.45pm on Tuesday to reports of a serious accident involving a blue Mazda and a silver Peugeot 206.
One man from the Bury St Edmunds area was rushed to West Suffolk Hospital for further treatment after suffering serious injuries including a fractured hip and a facial fracture.
Another man from the Diss area sustained injuries to his wrist and hand and a third man, also from the Diss area, was taken to hospital as a precaution but has since been discharged.
Bury Road was blocked for several hours while crash investigation work was carried out at the scene.
It re-opened to traffic at around 1.45am, a police spokeswoman said.
Witnesses to the crash should call the Roads Policing Unit on 101 quoting CAD number 417 of yesterday, September 12, with information.
