Three hurt in two-vehicle collision in Colchester

Three people were injured following a two-vehicle collision in Colchester on Saturday evening.

The incident happened at 6.51pm in Bergholt Road and required the attendance of three fire engines from the Essex County Fire and Rescue Service.

Three people were trapped in the vehicles and crews worked with paramedics to help release the casualties.

They were eventually released at 7.30pm and taken to hospital for treatment.
