A BOY who died following a road accident in west Suffolk has been named by police.

A BOY who died following a road accident in west Suffolk has been named by police.

Three-year-old Henry James Blacklock, from Red Lodge, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on the B1063 Ashley Road, just outside Cheveley, Newmarket, on Saturday night just after 7pm.

He was a passenger in a white Renault Clio driven by his father, a 42-year-old man from Newmarket who suffered serious injuries and is in a stable condition at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge.

The other vehicle involved in the collision was a black Jaguar X-Type driven by a 30-year-old man from Newmarket, who suffered minor injuries.

He has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been bailed until December 1.
