This year’s event has attracted a record number of 68 entries from all ages on three different themes – Wildlife, Macro and Photographs at that make you go ‘Wow!’

All entries were taken on the peninsula at Felixstowe, which boasts huge container ships, wonderful wildlife, and amazing objects at the Felixstowe Museum and the historic Landguard Fort.

Members of the public are invited to choose their favourite with an online vote at the Discover Landguard website – www.discoverlandguard.org.uk – with the four top photographs from each of the three themes then being put before a panel of judges, who will pick the overall Judges Choice winner.

The overall winner will win a prize of £50, plus a framed copy of their picture. Voting closes at noon on Monday, September 25.

Now in its 7th year the hugely popular Landguard, organised by the Landguard Partnership, allows both professional and amateur photographers to take their favourite scenes of the Peninsula.

Stephen Rampley, Landguard Marketing and Events Co-ordinator, said: “Our hugely popular photography competition has once again attracted a broad and varied range of wonderful images over the three themes.

“There are some fantastic shots and now we want you to help us choose the top twelve. Visit our website and get voting!”.
