Tips left out for bin men in south Suffolk have been stolen


Tips left out for bin men at a number of rural spots in south Suffolk may have been stolen, according to police.

The thefts happened in Stoke By Nayland, Edwardstone, Milden, Groton, Lindsey, Long Melford, Sudbury and Great Cornard sometime between December 17-21.

Suffolk police is appealing for witnesses to the incidents, all of which took place under cover of darkness.

The force has suggested residents who want to leave tips should hand them directly to the bin men or, alternatively, only leave them out in daylight hours.

Officers are appealing to anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour, has any CCTV footage of suspicious activity that may have captured the incidents or has knowledge regarding the thefts to contact Suffolk police on 101, quoting crime reference 37/73974/18.
