KING's Lynn will host title rivals Birmingham in a winner-takes-all Premier League finale at the Norfolk Arena on Wednesday, September 23.

Club officials confirmed the re-arranged fixture is now set for the last meeting of the regular campaign with Rob Lyon's men currently two points clear of the Brummies at the Premier League summit.

Lynn race the first of two meetings in hand on Wednesday at the Norfolk Arena against a rock-bottom Newport side tracking recent guest Ty Proctor and Chris Kerr.

Proctor scorched to a paid 16 haul for Redcar on his last outing from the away pits at Saddlebow earlier this season while Kerr chipped in with an impressive paid 11 in the home league win over Glasgow.

Lyon said: “Newport aren't having their best season but they always seem to raise their game against us. It will be the first time we have run at home with Linus (Eklof) at reserve and rider replacement for Kozza (Smith), this is untested and I am not sure if it will make us stronger or weaker so there are a lot of questions going into this meeting.

“Ty is also a great choice of guest and I wouldn't be surprised to see him score a maximum against us.”

Meanwhile, Proctor is relishing a Norfolk Arena return. He said: “I love riding at the place, it will be interesting to see how I go up against the home team. Their top four riders are all pretty awesome so there should be some exciting races.”

The meeting starts at 7.30pm.
