AN infant has died after an accident involving a high-chair at a home in Felixstowe.
An ambulance was called to the property at about 2.45pm on Tuesday and paramedics found the 15-month-old girl unconscious and showing signs of choking.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service confirmed that the child was taken to Ipswich Hospital for emergency care.
Tragically, the child was confirmed dead upon arrival at hospital.
Staff from the ambulance service contacted the police later in the afternoon, as is practice after the sudden death of anyone under the age of 18.
A Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said: “We did deal with the sudden death of a 15-month-old female. It is not being treated as suspicious.
“An inquest will be held in due course.”
