1) Felixstowe Carnival

Families can enjoy the Proms Night on Friday, the a procession through the town on Saturday and fireworks on the seafront on Sunday.
2) Jimmy’s Festival
Jimmy’s Farm, Wherstead, Ipswich, Saturday, July 22 to Sunday, July 23
Highlights include top chefs cooking up a storm, the zone will be full of activities, the main stage will see some great bands and more.
3) Suffolk Dog Day
Helmingham Hall Gardens, Sunday, July 30
Bring your prized pooch to Helmingham Hall for a fun family day out. Highlights include dog classes, a catering village and shopping.
4) Knights and Princesses
Framlingham Castle, Monday, July 31 to Friday, August 4, 11am to 5pm
Children are cordially invited to meet the castle’s courtly experts who will teach them a range of skills.
5) Snape Proms
Snape Maltings Concert Hall, Snape, Tuesday, August 1 to Friday, September 1
From big bands and orchestras to folk groups and solo artists, there is something for everyone.
6) Folkeast Festival
Glemham Hall, Little Glemham, Woodbridge, Friday, August 18 to Sunday, August 20, 9am to 4.30pm
The three-day festival returns to Glemham Hall for the sixth year. Headliners include Jon Boden, Nancy Kerr and others.
7) Aldeburgh Carnival
Throughout the town, Saturday, August 19 to Monday, August 21
Carnival-goers can look forward to this annual event returning to the seaside resort, which runs over four days.
8) Thorpeness Regatta
Thorpeness Meare, Thorpeness, Friday, August 25, 10 am to 8.30pm
The main event starts at 10am, when visitors can watch boats and more. Further highlights include an all-day barbecue, music, and more.
9) Maui Waui Festival
Peak Hill Farm, Theberton, Friday, August 25 to Sunday, August 27
This three-day international festival of music, performance and arts is returning for its fifth year.
10) Family fun at the farm
Easton Farm Park, Easton. Various dates through July and August
This popular farm park will be hosting a magic event. All the animals will be there and don’t forget to hug a bunny before you leave.
11) The Bury St Edmunds Food and Drink Festival
Sunday, August 27 and Monday, August 28
Highlights include a farmers’ market, street entertainment, celebrity chef appearances and children will love the beach area.
12) Moyse’s Hall Pirate Takeover
Moyse’s Hall Museum, Bury St Edmunds, Tuesday, August 1 to Thursday, August 31
Children can come and explore the Lost Property exhibition and take part in a range of pirate-themed activities.
