A top author and historian will be supporting Lavenham Library with a fundraising afternoon at the village hall in July.

Tracy Borman, author of a number of highly acclaimed books including The Private Lives of the Tudors, has become a firm favourite with audiences at Lavenham Literary Festival.

Tracy will be speaking about her debut novel ‘The King’s Witch’, which is set during the reign of James I and will be published in the next few weeks.

Afterwards the author will be signing books and joining the audience for tea and cake.

The event takes place on Saturday, July 7, at 2.30pm, and tickets are available from Lavenham Library or the Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds on 01284 769505.

Tickets cost £10 each, including refreshments, and all proceeds will go to the Friends of Lavenham Library to enhance facilities.
