BRITAIN'S top R&B and garage girl band are on their way back to Ipswich.

Mis-Teeq, who wowed a sell-out audience at the Regent in March last year, will be heading back to the theatre on October 16 for one date on their forthcoming second UK tour. Tickets for the concert, priced £16.50, go on sale tomorrow morning.

When Alesha, Sabrina and Su-Elise first performed in Ipswich they were riding a wave of success from their breakthrough from the garage/R&B scene to the mainstream.

Their debut album Lickin' On Both Sides was on a one-way course to achieving double platinum status, they had four top ten singles under their belt and a fifth just around the corner.

Less than 18 months later and the trio have further cemented their standing among the UK's musical finest.

Their second album Eye Candy was released in March and was well received as another perfect fusion of urban and pop sounds. It was preceded by a return to the charts courtesy of number two hit Scandalous, the first single to be taken from the long-player. A second single, Can't Get It Back, continued the girls' reign of success when it provided them with yet another top ten smash earlier this month.

And success this time round comes with the added sweetness that all the tracks on the collection have been written or co-written by the girls themselves.

Tickets for the concert go on sale at 9.30am on Saturday priced £16.50. They will be available from the Central Box Office, Princes Street, Ipswich, by calling 01473 433100 or online at www.ipswich-ents.co.uk
