THE election battle in Ipswich and Suffolk South takes off over the next two days with campaigning visits by major national political figures. Lord Pearson, the Leader of the UK Independence Party, will be joining today his deputy, who is the party’s candidate in Suffolk South, to support protesters in Hadleigh against the building of a Tesco super store.
Labour’s Deputy Leader Harriet Harman will be show her backing for Sure Start when she visits a centre in Ipswich, while the Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury Phillip Hammond will be backing Tory candidate Ben Gummer Transport Secretary Lord Adonis will be in Ipswich tomorrow to back Labour’s Chris Mole.
