A MINIBUS containing Ipswich Town fans was involved in a serious crash on the way back from the game against Wolverhampton Wanderers, it has emerged.

A VILLAGE football team had a lucky escape yesterday when the team bus crashed on the way back from an Ipswich Town game.

Players from Worlingworth FC were travelling back from supporting Ipswich Town at Wolverhampton when the team mini-bus was involved in a collision.

One team member was trapped in the wreckage and had to be cut out by the emergency services. The rest of the team had a lucky escape with only minor cuts and bruises.

Today's RM2 division game against E.ON has been called off as a result of the crash.
