POLICE are investigating a spate of “horrific” attacks on cats in an Essex town.
A decapitated cat was found in an underpass in Laindon on Saturday, with a craft knife blade discovered nearby.
The following day, in a subway a mile away, the word “CAT” was found scrawled in blood in two-foot high letters, with another blade lying nearby.
Then this morning a cat with its throat slashed was found on a doorstep in the town.
The bodies of the cats and the blades are undergoing forensic tests.
